Ultrasound

I had my ultrasound done Monday June 11th and Baby Springer looks great. I'm measuring right on schedule with my due date. The baby was so comfortable in it's position, we couldn't get it to move around to get a better angle of the heart, so now I have to have another ultrasound done in July to get a better reading/measurment of the heart and to get a profile picture. It's amazing to see how our baby is growing and we are so thankful to have a healthy baby and pregnancy. Enjoy the pictures.

19 weeks

Hi everyone!

Well I'm growing rapidly and loving it. I'm feeling the baby move now when I am relaxing at night or waking up in the morning. I can't wait to have my ultrasound done to see our baby. We will not be finding out the sex of the baby though. I have been listening to music and reading out loud to the baby since it can hear now. Derek said he wants to read Hemingway, I said how about Harry Potter! Over Memorial Day weekend my parents were in town and we landscaped a lot of our yard, it looks beautiful! We had a great time going to the farmers market, golfing, eating on Lake Minnetonka, and grilling out on the patio with a bonfire after dinner. Summers up in Minnesota are great. Construction at the Springers

So I had some requests to see the construction site. I took a few pictures of the big project Derek is working on. It's the entire upstairs which will become the nursery and our bedroom. He has everything down to the studs and is working on the electrical with his uncle Joe. There's a lot more to go!

14 weeks

Well, I'm 14 weeks now and feeling great. There's not much change in my belly yet, but I did have to buy some maternity clothes to fit my expanding waist. It's nice to have my energy back and I've been enjoying the warm spring weather. Derek and I have been taking walks around the lake with K.C. and usually stopping off at my new favorite ice cream parlor. Yum! Derek has been busy renovating our upstairs, turning it into the nursery and our bedroom, while I've been busy in the garden making sure everything we planting last year comes back. I think all of our projects are turning out great!

doctor appointment

Yesterday Derek and I went to my 12 week check up. Everything is going great with the baby. Derek got to hear the heartbeat for the first time. It was nice and strong and about 162 beats per minute. Now that they've detected the heartbeat with the sonogram machine I can stop taking my progesterone medicine, YEAH! The medication made me really drowsy and dizzy. I'm feeling great now, just wish it wasn't snowing up here. More updates to come!

We're havin' a baby!

Yes that's right, Derek and I are pregnant! I am 12 weeks along and feeling great. The baby is due October 23rd and we are not finding out what the sex is. We are so excited to start our family. We'll be updating this blog often, sharing pictures and thoughs while pregnant with Baby Springer , all the way to the birth.
